S. erythraeum from Pirin, Bulgaria is a distinct form with wholly green rosettes which are rather smaller than the type.

S. erythraeum is a variety of S. marmoreum => Sempervivum marmoreum subsp. reginae-amaliae var. erythraeum

Sempervivum marmoreum subsp. reginae-amaliae var. erythraeum.

I could not find anthing on this specie in The Czech and Slovak Houseleeks (Kaktusy special 1) - written by Martin Miklanek. Have I overlooked something?

Year of classification is important to know which are the former one and which is the latest - not necessary the one that is correct and widely in use.

Look at p 14 "The complex of S. marmoreum Griseb"

=> subsp erythraeum (VELEN.) zONNEVELD (1999)

It's a variety for G. Dumont and a subspecies for Miklanek

Ps: I search the two forms of S. marmoreum matricum of Füzer (and in particularity the left plant on picture p 18 ). Have you this plant ?

I have a plant labeled

S. marmoreum v. longirameum coll. Füzér (= S. marmoreum var. longiarmenum ex Füzer)

somewhere .... who knows where in my garden!

Have no idea what it is ... 8) Udercover Sempervivum? :lol:
