I have seed for Orostachys iwarenge and O.chanetii. Anyone have experience growing these from seed. Also I have Rosularia rosulata, R.rechingerii, R.turkestanica and Rosularia sempervivum.

It seems no one replied before because no one had any experience.
I saw on your Picasa album that you had some luck. Do you have some new pics?

This year I had success with growing Oros from seed. I had unnamed plant which I was told it's one of O.malacophylla bronze hybrid, and I belived it was one of this rare O.paradoxa/O.maximowiczii or some hybrid of this 3 species....Plant had many rosettes but all of them flowered and died. In late winter I took the seed and just scattered them on the soil. Soon, young plants covered soil completely. It seems that seeds benefit from being frozen.

I also tried rare O.gorovoii later in the spring. Some of the seeds sprouted, but not as much as previous species. I have some extra seed and I will try to overwinter them outside on the soil.
