Sunny greetings from Bavaria - Germany
Dear friends, now i had found time to join this nice forum of Semperivum and today I had read many topics.
I'm collecting Sempervivum since 1994 and my hobby was changed later to my profession.
The first plants I had bought at nursery Zeppelin in Germany. In Autumn I was very disappointed because my Semps loosed her beautiful colours and sold them all our nursery. I visited our gardener in spring and I could'nt believe it.. this colours, shades of this beautiful plants. A new hobby was born.
Inspired of Volkmar Schara's new introductions I started sowing semps and introduced many new Semps cultivars and selections till many years ago. I think my nicest introduction was 'Little Miss Sunshine'. The request for this little beauty was immense. Other favorites are 'Blaukraut' (the Bavarian name for red cabbage) 'Gargamel' (from the Smurfs), 'Vasi Petru' and 'Giftzwerg' - a new introduction of this year. Unusual introductions are 'Bizzare Rose' and 'Spitzbub' - the German name for a rogue :-)
4 years ago I had started my own nursery and now I sell hardy succulentes and cactusses worldwide via mailing. Its a big love and I am always happy to meet so friendly peoples who collecting, beeding and buying this jewels.
Wish you all the best and many success for growing Sempervivums in your hands!
