S transcaucasicum was first described by Muirhead in 1966 - this was a plant found near Tbilissi.

Name is mostly used for hairy forms of Sempervivums in Transcaucasicum area.

Note!!!! At Herrenkaemper Garten they say S. transcaucasicum is the same as J. globiferum:

Obviously this is wrong!

Yes, it's a mistake

G. Dumont write that transcaucasium have 3 subspecies:

subsp. transcaucasicum
subsp. gillianii
subsp. davisii

I don't have opinion. I have the 3 species (or subspecies) but they are very new in my garden.
