Re: Nemrut Dag
Yes, you are right - turkish name is Nemrut Dağı ,
but this 2.134 m high mountain in southeaster Turkey is also called simply Nemrut or Nemrud.
Dagi in turkish names means simply "mountain".
And yes - I still try to figure out why most people use word "dag" instead of "dagi".
S. davisii ex Nemrut dagi is found in collections under name Nemrut Dag (as a in cultivars!).

Re: Nemrut Dag
Is it S. davisii. I'm not sure !
I have 5 different forms of S. davisii and for me S. sp. Nemrut Dagi is not S. davisii

Re: Nemrut Dag

I have not found any record on any other semp species growing there. What is this species?
So here we have 3 different (?) planst to discus:
- S. davisii ex Nemrut Dagi
- S. sp. ex Nemrut Dagi and
- Nemrut Dag

I have Nemrut Dag (from a Slovene grower - which means source is everything but reiable!) and the poor plant reproduces very very slowly, the loses during winters are but huge ... Have only one rosette left! It even looks poor!

Re: Nemrut Dag
A family member bought a plant for me at a rock-plant market in the Netherlands. It is labelled Sempervivum sp. coll. Nettrutdag. I cannot find this locality with Google, but the same plant is mentioned on a Dutch forum. I assume that it is a misspelling and could this be the same plant?
I compared the plant with photo's on the German database and it looks correct, even though my plant is small and very pale because of a lack of light. It is very likely grown by Bart Moerland/Alpigena nursery from the Netherlands. So I'll put it in my personal database under a corrected name with a note about the misspelling.
