i'm interested to note that they recommend regular watering in the alpine and continental climate zones, but for mediterranean, suggest that if plants receive rain, thats enough! surely, if anything, they would need more water in the warmer, drier, mediterranean zone, and fine with rain in the cooler areas!

Hm, and names of the plants they sell are somehow a lucky guess ... This is not s specialist "jardineria".
It is very hard to buy Sempervivum in Spain. I've been to Spain this summer on my vacation and after going from "jardineria" to "jardineria" with sales people not even knowing what a Sempervivum is, I manage to get one - arachnoideum style, imported from Holland ... Oh, lucky me! :rendeer:

Re: Top Jardineria, Spain
ha ha...i guess you would have to find a nursery specialising in native plants ..
in alberta, it is similarly difficult to find our native plants for sale--there are getting to be more places, and i could find a fair number of plants available from the grasslands of alberta, but as soon as i want plants from the mountains or even forest, it becomes difficult;
i would have a much easier time finding alpine plants from europe, or from the western united states, than those which come from my own region...
