Lautaret in France is a habitat of:

- natural crossing between S. arachnoideum × tectorum, that grows there at 2.200 m above sea level

- S. arachnoideum that also grows at 2 200 m

I've also found data that S. montanum grows there at 2.300 above sea level.

Lautaret is on the ridge line which separates the the Rhône-Alpes region the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in the French Alps.

There is pass named Col de Lautaret (2.058 m) and it is famous for the botanical garden named Jardin botanique alpin du Lautaret:
