J. allionii in general
Jovibarba allionii (now Sempervivum globiferum ssp. allionii) is native to south - west Alps from France to south Tyrol, Austria.
It makes great mats and the rosettes are somehow yellowish in summer. The size of rosette does not exceed a diamether of 2,5 cm (one inch!) and the rosette is always giving a spherical apperance. Leaves have fine hairs. Flowers is yellowish.

Re: J. allionii in general
Can you cite the approximate date of the change from J. to S.? All these years I thought I finally had the nomenclature on this one correct - now, apparently, not. Thanks
Re: J. allionii in general
S. globiferum subsp. allionii (Jordan & Fourreau) 't Hart & Bleij (Succulenta 78(1):40, 1999)
Don't worry - old name Jovibarba is still widely in use!

Thanks, I find I have very little time to keep up with the literature regarding nomenclature.
