Description as given in The Sempervivum Society Journal Volume 7 (1976), No. 2:
"Medium large, finely pubescent lax rosettes which grow very haphazardly giving an impression of untidiness. The deep bright red colour, however, comes early in spring and stays well into the autumn. The long white cilia and tuft of hairs at the leaf tip contrast well with the leaf colour."
