collecting pittonii clones
Hi all,
I would like to collect different clones of S. pittonii. Most of these are probably hardly different from each other in appearance. The reason to do this is to try to help preserve as much as possible of the genetic variation - which is present in the clones which are currently in culture.
I bought 2 clones from Erwin Geiger about 2 years ago, to try if I can grow this species at all. They did not do well at first, but after correcting growing conditions they do well now (less soil moisture, more sunlight). So now I am confident enough start collecting more clones.
I wonder if anyone else has already collected many of these "the same looking plants" for this purpose.
Kind regards,
Paul
