My semps that look like Oddity - 5 different ones I have:

Oddity Il3-oddity

Three plants I have - one labeled Sempervivum cv. Oddity (in smallest pot!), other two lost label plants.

Oddity Y7f-oddity

The one I got from nursery in Czech Republic couple of years ago. A monstrose rosette produced normal rosette and a few monstrose ones!

Oddity Ni9-oddity

Oddity Ztt-oddity

All above photos were taken in the beginning of June, 2008

They are far from being alike! So what is the story about Sempervivum cv. Oddity?!

Not every semp with monstrose leaves is Sempervivum cv. Oddity. There is definitely more than one like this ...

Hey, this is fun - I get to look at all of this information on these cultivars! 'Oddity is one of the ones I got the other day when I went a little crazy with the plant buying...

Hi Renata!

It looks like one with more sun / less water, but in case you were wondering, it looks to me like 'Oddity'.

I shall be posting more soon - just last week, I got two more new ones (for me) - 'Mrs Giuseppe' and 'Wendy'.

'Wendy' also has root mealy bugs, the first time I am seeing these in Canada. Oh well, I can take care of that.

Best,

Jeff

The "problem" of Oddity is that there are at least!!! 5 different plant looking like Oddity.

There is a lot of lost leabel plants looking like Oddity that were "profesionally ID" by the laymans (most just by looking at the photo on a web page!) as Oddity.

So there are MANY different Oddities sold and swapped all over the globe. Oddity 201880434 Most of them probably are not Oddity.

Oddity is one and only one. All the others are no name look-alikes, wronly ID as Oddity. Oddity 2047123582

Can someone tell us where / how to get the real Oddity?!
