Re: Sempervivella alba
I think that name Sempervivela is a rarely used synonym for some Rosularia or Prometheum species. (Maybe old name)
Plant looks beautiful, but i think that this name is no more widely used.

Re: Sempervivella alba
It looks very much like my Rosularia sempervivum ssp glaucophylla.
I tried to post a photo but did not find how to do it.

For posting a photo just copy a PHPBB code copied from a photo uploader. You can not put photos directly to the post.

Oh my gosh, that is way to big. So sorry Renata. What size do you usually use? You can delete this and I will post another photo resized if you like.

Don't worry - the size of a photo does not really metter. It's perfect! And the plant is lovely!

It is supposed to be winter hardy here in my zone 8. I am hoping our Pacific Northwest winters are not to wet for it. I may take it up from the bed it is in and pot it up. Put it into a location against the house where it will stay dry.

Properly name the plant Sedum sedoides. It is a hardy plant in the shade. Plants do not have a problem with frost around - 20 ° C.
Sedum sedoides grows at altitudes of 2000 - 3500 m.

True, but there is also third species behind.
This red plant above the flower looks like Prometheum muratdaghense.
Unfortunately I've lost this plant.

Re: Sempervivella alba
I would say this is very unpredictable plant. I doesn't have problem with overwintering unprotected at -20C, in shade one year, but the other year it dies at lower temps. Luckily, I had some overwintered in the house.
