This plant is mentioned in The Standard Cyclopedia of Horticulture by L. H. Bailey, New York, The Macmillan Company (1963).

I wonder is there to be found any such plant today. Almost 50 years passed, names changed...

So actually we are looking for a giant form of S. arachnoideum var. tomentosum. Is there any?
