Carnic Alps in Italy are the habitat of J. arenaria.

The Carnic Alps are a part of the Southern Limestone Alps in East Tyrol, Carinthia, South Tyrol and Friuli (Province of Udine). They extend from east to west for about 100 km, forming the border between Austria and Italy.

Carnic Alps = English
Alpes carniques = French
Karnischen Alpen = German
Alpi Carniche = Italian
Karni-Alpok = Hungary
Karnijske Alpe = Slovene
