This is how David T. Ford described S. 'KING GEORGE' in The Sempervivum Society Journal Volume 4 (1973), No. 4:

"Another of the same parentage as S. 'JUBILEE', but a darker red, to my mind more showy, but almost changes to the same green as S. 'JUBILEE' later."
