Sveti Ilija / Sveti Ilja
At Sarastro Stauden they sell a plant labeled as » S. dalmaticum »Biokovo« - vom Sveti Ilja gesammelte Form (= clon found at Sveti Ilja).
Let's explain some geographical names first!
Biokovo is the second-highest mountain range in Croatia, located along the Dalmatian coast of the Adriatic Sea,
Dalmatia (Croatian the region is called Dalmacija) is a historical region in Croatia on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea.
Sveti Ilija (sometimes Sveti Ilja) is but 1.640 m high a mountain in Biokovo.
But attention please, there is also a chuch Sveti Ilija at 913 m above seal level in Biokovo mountain range. I do not beleive this church is in question here.
There is no species S. dalmaticum. The plant is S. marmoreum.
