Vtáčnik is volcanic mountain in Slovakia. It mainly covers large areas of beech forest, grassland habitats occupy only small areas. This is a habitat of S. matricum and S. carpathicum subsp. heterophyllum.

Vtáčnik is also a habitat of J. hirta ssp. glabrescens that grows there at 620 m above sea level.
