Hello from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
Hi, my name is Jeff, and once upon a time I could not grow Sempervivums - I lived in San Diego, California and grew hundreds of other cacti and succulents, but it was too warm there for Semps.
So, in order to grow Semps (and live with my fiance'), I moved to Kamloops almost five years ago, and started learning about Semps, other cold-hardy succulents and perennials, and a host of other gardening differences.
I look forward to participating in this forum and learning from you.
Cheers and happy growing to you,
Jeff (cactusmcharris)

Oh, yes, one question for the more tenured members here....
Where do I start reading this Forum; do you have suggestions about learning more about Semps from forums already here?
Thanks again,
Jeff
This coyote is taking a walk by the Yucca - there are Semps beneath the snow there.

And sometimes I might be late replying to your email or a post. Since I also work from home via computer, you can see it's also difficult to do my job, sometimes...

Cohan,
Thank you for the welcome. In celebration of joining here, I went out and bought some Semps* - yippee!

*I know that box contains some Sedums - they insisted on coming home with me.
That was the second day's haul. Here are the first day's plants:

Wow, Jeff--no surprise, but looks like your local shopping is far more interesting than mine! All I can find here is a few cultivars/hybrids. not much of interest...
