Merapi
A Sempervivum cultivar introduced by German breeder Martin Haberer in 1984.
This is a plant with diamether of 7 cm. The tips of the broad leaves are violet. The rest of the plant has bluish hue - this is a cultivar indeed worth growing.
It is named (like many other Sempervivum cultivars of M. Habereer) after a volcano.
Merapi is an indonsesian volcano that erupted few days ago (mind the date of this post!) and already claimed some human victims.
