Hard to beleive, but S. arachnoideum is declared to be an invasive species in USA!

weird..i couldn't find any indication there of where it is invasive.. can't be many places--forested regions it would be shaded out in native vegetation (such as here--no semp would survive without weeding) and southern u.s. -even parts of east etc, are too hot in summer for arachnoideum in particular--i have friends in florida, arizona, etc that cannot grow it...

possible, though seems unlikely to me, such a small plant cannot push out many other species! certainly i have never heard of such a thing here in alberta rocky mountains (not on our invasive list for sure..)
i should ask on alpine group...

I do not believe this sight lists it as invasive . It just shows a photo from their data basis and a break down of it's classification and reference sources etc... It is not listed as invasive in the USA.
