Mount Ipsarion on Greek island Thasos is a habitat to S. ruthenicum / S. zeleborii.

Ipsárion - 1.203 m above sea level - lies near the island’s northeastern coast and it is the highes mountain on the island.

Island Thasos lies in Greek Macedonia.
