Ljubjana - wrong?

S. marmoreum var. blandum from Ljubjana

I got this plant years ago and still it is mistery to me the place it is comming from.

S. marmoreum ssp. marmoreum now includes:

S. assimile var. blandum (Schott) Grecescu
S. blandum Schott 1853
S. blandum var. assimile (Schott) Simonkai
S. schlehanii ssp. blandum Schott
S. schlehanii var. blandum (Schott) Hayek 1924
S. marmoreum ssp. blandum (Schott) Soo 1963

S. marmoreum var. blandum (Schott) was but described in 1983 by K. Konopova and Radovan Konop

And now to LJUBJANA. The first thought would be (misspelled) Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

But no, no S. marmoreum is native to Slovenia.

S. marmoreum var. blandum is native to Romania so I shall search for a geographical name Ljubjana or similar to it within this state.

Any idea what Ljubjana might be?

This plant was distributed by the late Dr. Pasztor from Budapest. In a letter to me, dated 2 July 1988, he wrote, as a reply to my question, that Ljubjana was an error for Ljubljana and that he had received this plant from Ljubljana. He does not mention from whom. In his 1989 list the name was corrected.
