A habitat of S. pumilum, Adyl Su is a valley in Chechnya, Russia.

In 1935 Ingwersen found a plant growing in rock crevicles in Adyl Su valley at the foot of mountain Dongus - Orun at 2.135 m above sea level.

This plant was later classified by Wale as S. ingwersenii.
