S. x barbulatum - habitats

S. x barbulatum Schott (a natural hybrid between S. arachnoideum and S. montanum) grows everywhere where you can find both parental plants growing together in the wild.

Most well known habitats are:
- Obergurgel in Ötztal, Tyrol, Autria - 1.930 to 2.100 m above sea level
- Ciampac, Dolomiti, Italy
- Illhorn, Wallis, Switzerland, 2100 m above sea level
- Sion
- Val Veny, Italy
- Julier,
- Lago Sambucco, Ticino, Switzerland, 1.700 m above sea level.

The semps that grow in the cracks of the rocks looks like they were puted there! Mother nature is really an artist!

But the habitat above Gavarnie is not big. It is only the stone on the picture and the Sempervivums are growing there.
