Monte Lepini Empty Monte Lepini

Post by I'm the 1 Tue Nov 17, 2009 9:06 am

S. italicum is native to Lepini.

Gerard Dumont uses form "Monti Lepini" - "monti" is an italian word for mountains (please note plural!).

The Monti Lepini are a mountain range which belongs to the Anti-Apennines of the Lazio region of central Italy, between the two provinces of Latina and Rome.

The highest peak is the Monte Semprevisa - 1. 536 m above sea level.

The name probably derives from the Latin word "lapis" that emans stone, referring to the mountains’ limestone rocks.
