New member in Manchester, England

I am fairly new to collecting Semps and have acquired approx 100 in the last year. Although new to Semps' I have been collecting cacti for the last few years with the main bulk of the collection being Echinopsis hybrids.

I acquired my interest in Semps when I was given a few from someone in my local cacti society and since then I have been collecting then whenever I see any that interest me.

I am interested in 'velvety' looking semps or ones that develop more interesting colours. I think this interest in interesting coulours stems from the fact that i grow Echinopsis hybrids and I also have a small collection of Echeveria's which again are mainly hybrids.(do I sense a developing pattern here? )

Welcome Bruce. Have you been to The Alpine Plant Centre? Should be within reasonable distance of you (wish it was closer to me). It is at Froggatt Road Calver, Hope Valley, Derbyshire S32 3ZD. Steve Furness has a huge collection of semps plus lots of Jovibarba heuffelii cultivars. Well worth a visit if you haven't yet been.

I have put a couple of photos on the Sempervivum Group Facebook page. To be honest I have not done many photos of my Semps this year, as I was more interested in increasing the number pf plants that i had. I will be hopefully, taking more photo's next year-as the majority of my plants are now in the greenhouse.
