In vicinity of Rifugio Biella (Croda del Becco), Italy you can find S. dolomiticum growing at 2.300 m above sea level.

Rifugio is Italian word for manned mountain hut.

German name of Rifugio Biella at Croda del Béco (Croda Rossa d’Ampezzo) is SEEKOFEL HÜTTE.

There is a field collected plant in cultivation labeled as

S. dolomiticum from Rifugio Biella, 2300 m, Italy, GDJ.96B.22

GDJ stands fro Gerard Dumont, France
