Dear members,

i am a plant hunter, my collection are fruitplants like black raspberrys, blueberries and several blooming plants, so i have even more than 600 sempervivum hybrids and i like hardy ice plants so called delosperma. My first collection on sempervivum started 35 years ago. I looked for the nursery Sündermann Botanischer Alpengarten in Lindau lake Bodensee. The nursery is placed very near on the shore of the lake. So i got my first S. calcareum and several S. tectorum.

Looking for my semps is the best i can do for chill out.

Hallo from Germany C0146 Sandstein, welcome!

You have quite a collection, those 600 + hybryds! Is Rasperry Ice one of them? It does have a raspberry colour in spring, right?

Hallo,

nice to hear from you,

yes Raspberry Ice is in my collection, I found following remarks I made for it

Raspberry Ice Mina Colvin 1973 USA stark bewimpert

"stark bewimpert" means the cultivar has a lot of hairs
like eyebrows

At certain time of the year (early spring) this cultivar has really raspeberry colour, covered with fine white hairs - beautiful! It's one of my faves.
