Fame will grow very large, pinkish red rosettes hold colour throughout the year.

Notice: Fame monstrose is a whole different cultivar!

Great looking cultivar!
Do you maybe know more about this S 'Fame Montrose'? I
also thought that true name is ' Fame Monstrose', but it seems that name Montrose is correct.

Fame Monstrose is a whole different cultivar, though a christate form of Fame (not stable!). This is a plant that's been on my want list for years now and it's so darn hard to be found in Europe.
Fame Monstrose is supposed to be a synonyme for a cultivar named Fantasy by Nicholas Moore, UK, 1962 that was named by Edward Skrocki, USA, 1977.

Question would be about S.'Fantasy' but you were quicker.
Cultivar 'Fame Monstrose' is in my collection since recently. Smile
It came from our friend from Japan.

I hope it will grow fine

This is how David T. Ford described S. 'FAME' in The Sempervivum Society Journal Volume 4 (1973), No. 4:

"A rather non-descript hybrid during the summer but takes on a rich mauve-red colouration in late summer through to the spring."
