Illhorn in Wallis, Switzerland is a habitat of S. x barbulatum Schott (a natural hybrid between S. arachnoideum and S. montanum) that grows everywhere where you can find both parental plants growing together in the wild. So this is also a habitata of S. arachnoideum v. tomentosum and S. montanum. Plant grows there at 2.100 m above sea level.
