In our collections a Jovibarba hirta can be found from Ronki, or more correctly Runki, szoros. This is the Hungarian name for a canyon (szoros) in Romania. The Romanian name for this canyon is Cheile Runcului, which is near the village of Runc in the Muntii Giláului (Gilau Mountains) in Transsylvania, Romania.
Cheile also means canyon or gorges.
